Die ganzheitlich angelegte Behandlung von Migräne und anderen Kopfschmerzarten verfügt inzwischen über etliche Methoden und geht weit über den bloßen Einsatz von Medikamenten hinaus. Dabei werden verhaltensmedizinische Behandlungsansätze mit einbezogen, die inzwischen unverzichtbare, leistungsfähige Bestandteile geworden sind. Mittlerweile gibt es eingehende Untersuchungen über ihre Wirkungsweise, die auch wissenschaftlichen Ansprüchen genügen. Damit lässt sich belegen, dass solche Methoden zurecht an Bedeutung gewinnen. Sie werden als nicht-medikamentöse Behandlungsmöglichkeit von immer mehr Patient*innen angenommen.
